Introduction

This document outlines the Zero Tolerance Policy of the TryHackMe discord community, hereafter referred to as "the community." Our commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment necessitates a firm stance against behaviours that undermine these values. This policy details the actions that warrant immediate response under this framework and the procedures for enforcement.

Scope

The Zero Tolerance Policy applies to all members, staff, volunteers, and participants within the community, encompassing interactions on all platforms and channels associated with the community, including but not limited to online forums, social media, live events, and meetings.

Behaviours Covered

The community has identified the following behaviours, which, if engaged in, will prompt immediate action under the Zero Tolerance Policy:

  1. Harassment: Any form of harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment, bullying, and intimidation.
  2. Discrimination: Actions or statements that discriminate against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, or any other characteristic protected under UK law.
  3. Violence and Threats: Any acts of violence or threats of violence, whether physical, verbal, or digital.
  4. Illegal Activities: Engaging in or promoting activities that are illegal under applicable law,
  5. Hate Speech: The use of language or imagery that promotes hate or incites violence against individuals or groups based on the aforementioned characteristics.

Enforcement Procedures

  1. Any member of the community found engaging in the behaviours listed above will be subject to immediate removal from the community and all associated platforms.
  2. Depending on the findings of the investigation, permanent measures, including but not limited to banning from the community and reporting to law enforcement (where applicable), will be taken.
  3. Throughout the investigation process, the privacy and confidentiality of all involved parties will be respected.
  4. The community commits to providing support and resources to victims of behaviours covered by this policy.

Appeals

Given the serious nature of the behaviours addressed by this policy, the opportunities for appeal against immediate actions taken under this policy are limited. Appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require substantial evidence to be reconsidered.
