TryHackMe is a gamified platform that makes learning cyber security fun and accessible. We've been around for almost three years, have over 1 million registered users and are growing fast. The platform offers both offensive and defensive security labs, teaching users the required skills to get a job in cyber through hands-on labs and exercises.
We're looking for a senior content developer to help us research, plan and create advanced content and virtual labs for our online courses.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan and develop offensive cyber security training material with supporting hands-on lab exercises (such as virtual machines and network environments)
- Coordinate with our team to identify content development opportunities to help TryHackMe's security training topic coverage.
- Analyse industry trends in tooling and techniques and recreate that as teachable content
- Use research to provide a source of expertise to the content development team
- Work with our (red team) content engineering team to strategically plan, review and schedule content.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Have a strong technical understanding of networking, computing and cyber security
- Ability to develop and configure vulnerable virtual machines, and active directory environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have experience with one or more of the following topics:
- Advanced Windows Exploitation
- Advanced Web Application Security
- General Cloud Operations
Preferred Skills and Experience Includes:
- Creating challenges for capture the flags (CTFs)
- Penetration testing experience preferred
- Programming experience in any of the following: Python, PHP, Bash, Powershell
