About the Role
We're looking for a content developer to help us build DevSecOps training content that caters to over a million users. The content you'll be building will be aimed towards individuals in DevOps and DevSecOps teams. Responsibilities will include:
- Design, write and create cyber security & DevSecOps training material with supporting hands-on lab exercises (such as virtual machines)
- Collaborate with the Content Engineering Team to support TryHackMe’s security training coverage and identify content development opportunities
- Analyse industry trends in tooling and techniques and recreate that as teachable content
- Interact with the community to improve community-labs being released
- Support running various events such as Capture The Flag (CTF)
Skills & Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of relevant experience working in the industry
- Have a strong technical understanding of networking, computing and cyber security
- Ability to develop and configure vulnerable virtual machines
- Have hands on experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Experience with the following DevOps technologies:
- Git (including git tools such as Github & Gitlab)
- Infrastructure as code solutions (Terraform, Vagrant, Kubernetes, Ansible)
- Pipeline automation and CI/CD concepts and practical implementation
- Static and dynamic application security testing
- Environment build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Chef)
- Experience with secure coding standards and SSDLC
- Experience with training users in secure DevOps practices
- Experience with Cloud DevOps (AWS Cloudformation, Azure DevOps)
Preferred Skills and Experience (but not essential) Includes:
- Creating challenges for capture the flags (CTFs)
- Programming experience in any of the following: Python, PHP, Bash, Powershell
- Instructional design or training experience (developing and running cybersecurity training);
